General Information

The Light Tank T9E1 (M22 Locust)also known as Locust was a light tank , 830 of which were used by the americans between 1944 and 1945.

The vehicle was manned by a crew of 3 and was 2.25 metres wide, 3.97 metres long, 1.74 metres high and weighed 7.45 tonnes.

Powered by a 162hp petrol engine the Light Tank T9E1 (M22 Locust) was capable of a road speed of 40mph and a cross country speed of 30mph. The 55 gallon fuel capacity gave the Light Tank T9E1 (M22 Locust) a road range of 135 miles
