General Information


The SdKfz 164 8.8cm Pak 43/1 Gw III/IValso known as Nashorn,Hornisse was a self propelled anti tank vehicle , 493 of which were used by the germans between 1943 and 1945.

The vehicle was manned by a crew of 4 and was 2.97 metres wide, 5.85 metres long, 2.65 metres high and weighed 24 tonnes.

Powered by a 360hp petrol engine the SdKfz 164 8.8cm Pak 43/1 Gw III/IV was capable of a road speed of 25mph and a cross country speed of 15mph. The SdKfz 164 8.8cm Pak 43/1 Gw III/IV had a road range of 131 miles
