The Sexton 25pdralso known as Sexton was a self propelled artillery vehicle used by the british between 1943 and 1945.
The vehicle was manned by a crew of 6 and was 2.74 metres wide, 6.18 metres long, 2.46 metres high and weighed 25.91 tonnes.
Powered by a hp petrol engine the Sexton 25pdr was capable of a road speed of 24mph .
Based on the sp gun chassis, the vehicle was armed with a Ordnance Q.F. 25pdr Mk 2 with a muzzle velocity of 518m/sec which was capable of penetrating 78mm of armour at 800metres |
