General Information


The AEC Mk I was based on the four wheel drive Matador Artillery tractor and developed in 1941.

The vehicle was designed to take the Valentine MkII turret with the Ordnance Q.F. 2pdr gun and 2 machine guns, but the MkII was uprated to use the Ordnance Q.F. 6pdr gun and had thicker armour.
