General Information


The SU-57 was a self propelled artillery vehicle , 650 of which were used by the russians between 1941 and 1945.

The vehicle was manned by a crew of 3 and was 2.18 metres wide, 6.46 metres long, 2.15 metres high and weighed 8.48 tonnes.

Powered by a 147hp petrol engine the SU-57 was capable of a road speed of 45mph and a cross country speed of 35mph. The 60 gallon fuel capacity gave the SU-57 a road range of 175 miles

Based on the sp gun chassis, the vehicle was armed with 1 light machine gun, a 57mm Antitank Gun M1 with a muzzle velocity of 900m/sec which was capable of penetrating 75mm of armour at 800metres
