The Daimler MkI was developed from experiences with the Dingo scout car.
It was armed with a shoulder controlled Ordnance Q.F. 2pdr gun and a besa machine gun in a Tetrarch Tank turret.
The MkI suffered from gearbox problems, but these were remedied by 1942.
