The SU-37 was a self propelled anti aircraft vehicle used by the russians between 1939 and 1945.
The vehicle was manned by a crew of 3 and was 2.77 metres wide, 5.26 metres long, 2.12 metres high and weighed 10.5 tonnes.
Powered by a 85hp petrol engine the SU-37 was capable of a road speed of 27mph and a cross country speed of 20mph. The 70.5 gallon fuel capacity gave the SU-37 a road range of 279 miles and a cross country range of 187 miles.
Based on the sp gun chassis, the vehicle was armed with a 37mm Gun M39 AA with a muzzle velocity of 880m/sec which was capable of penetrating 40mm of armour at 800metres |
