Inf Tank Mk III (Valentine VIII)

The Inf Tank Mk III (Valentine VIII)also known as Valentine was a infantry tank used by the british between 1943 and 1945.

The vehicle was manned by a crew of 4 and was 2.65 metres wide, 5.46 metres long, 2.31 metres high and weighed 16 tonnes.

Powered by a 165hp petrol engine the Inf Tank Mk III (Valentine VIII) was capable of a road speed of 15mph .

Based on the valentine chassis, the vehicle was armed with 1 light machine gun, a Ordnance Q.F. 6pdr 7cwt MKII MKIV with a muzzle velocity of 900m/sec which was capable of penetrating 75mm of armour at 800metres
