The Light Tank M5 (Stuart VI)also known as Stuart VI was a light tank , 2075 of which were used by the americans between 1942 and 1945.

The vehicle was manned by a crew of 4 and was 2.26 metres wide, 4.38 metres long, 2.31 metres high and weighed 15 tonnes.

Powered by a 220hp petrol engine the Light Tank M5 (Stuart VI) was capable of a road speed of 40mph and a cross country speed of 24mph. The 89 gallon fuel capacity gave the Light Tank M5 (Stuart VI) a road range of 100 miles

Based on the light tank chassis, the vehicle was armed with 2 light machine guns, a 37mm Antitank Gun M3 with a muzzle velocity of 885m/sec which was capable of penetrating 48mm of armour at 800metres
