Bishop 25 pdr

The Bishop 25 pdralso known as Bishop was a self propelled artillery vehicle , 100 of which were used by the british between 1942 and 1945.

The vehicle was manned by a crew of 4 and was 2.66 metres wide, 5.57 metres long, 2.8 metres high and weighed 17.5 tonnes.

Powered by a hp petrol engine the Bishop 25 pdr was capable of a road speed of 15mph .

Based on the sp gun chassis, the vehicle was armed with a Ordnance Q.F. 25pdr Mk 2 with a muzzle velocity of 518m/sec which was capable of penetrating 78mm of armour at 800metres
