KV-1B

USSR

 

The KV-1B was a heavy tank used by the russians between 1941 and 1945.

The vehicle was manned by a crew of 5 and was 3.28 metres wide, 6.95 metres long, 2.69 metres high and weighed 46.35 tonnes.

Powered by a 550hp petrol engine the KV-1B was capable of a road speed of 22mph and a cross country speed of 7mph. The 121 gallon fuel capacity gave the KV-1B a road range of 140 miles and a cross country range of 94 miles.

Based on the kv chassis, the vehicle was armed with 3 light machine guns, a 76.2mm Gun M02/30 L/40 with a muzzle velocity of 680m/sec which was capable of penetrating 74mm of armour at 800metres
