The Inf Tank Mk IV (Churchill III)also known as Churchill was a infantry tank , 675 of which were used by the british between 1941 and 1945. The vehicle was manned by a crew of 5 and was 3.28 metres wide, 7.51 metres long, 2.49 metres high and weighed 38.5 tonnes. Powered by a 350hp petrol engine the Inf Tank Mk IV (Churchill III) was capable of a road speed of 15mph and a cross country speed of 8mph. The 190 gallon fuel capacity gave the Inf Tank Mk IV (Churchill III) a road range of 161 miles and a cross country range of 95 miles. Based on the churchill chassis, the vehicle was armed with 2 light machine guns, a Ordnance Q.F. 6pdr 7cwt MKII MKIV with a muzzle velocity of 900m/sec which was capable of penetrating 75mm of armour at 800metres
