Cruiser Mk II

The Cruiser Mk II was a cruiser tank , 13 of which were used by the british between 1939 and 1945.

The vehicle was manned by a crew of 5 and was 2.56 metres wide, 5.6 metres long, 2.62 metres high and weighed 13.75 tonnes.

Powered by a 150hp petrol engine the Cruiser Mk II was capable of a road speed of 16mph and a cross country speed of 8mph. The 117 gallon fuel capacity gave the Cruiser Mk II a road range of 100 miles

Based on the cruiser tank chassis, the vehicle was armed with 2 light machine guns, a Ordnance Q.F. 2pdr with a muzzle velocity of 792m/sec which was capable of penetrating 47mm of armour at 800metres
